My purpose in working with Karla was to (1) lose the extra pounds gained from my physical inactivity while pursuing my Bachelor’s degree while working full time, (2) decrease the time it was taking to complete a marathon, and (3) gain muscle strength in my overall body.
In the time I have been working with Karla, I have succeeded in all areas. I’ve lost over 14 pounds, several inches, and have gone down two slack sizes; I have shaved 22 minutes off of my marathon time; and I’m stronger than I have ever been.
Karla works you hard but she gets results. Just when you feel comfortable with an exercise, she ups the ante, making you work harder to accomplish the exercise. Some days I leave the gym thinking my arms and legs will never be the same, and the muscles are so weary that I’m not sure I’ll be able to drive to work. But, I’ve also resigned myself to knowing this is what it takes to make progress.
